Due to the impact the weather has had on scheduled concussion training meetings the following information will guide parents, students, and staff in meeting the requirement for annual concussion training for interscholastic athletes:
All athletes and parents that have not met the annual concussion training requirement for spring sports will have until Friday, February 27, to complete the required training at a Face to Face session, or through the online training available on the PWCS website.
Face to Face training for 9th grade students will be offered at the following school sites on Monday, February 23:
We will update the above list if we are able to offer any additional Face to Face sessions.
For the high school spring sports season only, 9th grade students along with their parents, may complete the online training by Friday, February 27 as an alternative. The process has been started to remove the program restriction for 9th grade students. This process will take time to complete.
If access is rejected, be patient, try again later. Every effort is being made to prevent login and access issues. We ask all students and parents to vary the time of day over the weekend to access the site. This will help to prevent login issues. Be sure to have the correct student ID number and the student’s full name for proper access.
Thank you for your patience as we work to assist you at this time.

· Students who enter the ninth grade through residence or acceptance into a designated site program will establish Virginia High School League (VHSL) eligibility at the school.
· Once a student establishes eligibility at a high school and the student transfers to another high school for any reason, the student shall be ineligible for 365 days unless there is a corresponding change of address in accordance with the VHSL

2014.15 CONCUSSION PRESENTATIONS
All high schools and middle schools are required to provide Concussion Presentations for parents and students according to PWCS Policy 759. As there are sufficient differences in the way concussions will be handled at the middle school and high school levels, a parent having children in both middle and high schools are required to attend both a middle and a high school presentation.
Please check here for middle school and/or high school presentation times. Check individual school websites or call your child's school for updated sessions and times.
